Throughout December: Busch Gardens Christmas Town

The holiday season shines brightest during Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. From now until Jan. 5, Christmas Town will feature 10 million twinkling lights as the park is transformed into a winter wonderland. The whole family will love the festive holiday décor, entertaining themed shows and much more during this celebration.

December 7: Williamsburg Christmas Parade

The annual Community Christmas Parade is the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance's gift to the community promoting holiday spirit and unity among businesses, civic and faith organizations and the general public. The theme for this year's parade is “Jingle All The Way.” The parade route will begin at Brooks Street and Richmond Road then proceed down Richmond Road through the first block of Duke of Gloucester Street.

December 7–8: Yorktown Christmas Tree Lighting and Lighted Boat Parade

On Friday, Dec. 6, head to the Victory Monument in Yorktown to watch the Christmas Tree Lighting. The Fifes & Drums of York Town will perform and lead a procession to the waterfront. On Saturday, come out to Yorktown’s historic Main Street for the Lighted Boat Parade at the Yorktown Waterfront.

December 8: Colonial Williamsburg Grand Illumination

Colonial Williamsburg kicks off the holiday season on Sunday, Dec. 8 with the Grand Illumination. Visit Colonial Williamsburg for a full day of special events culminating in a spectacular firework show. Take part in an array of events and activities happening at Colonial Williamsburg to celebrate the Grand Illumination.

December 20–31: Christmastide in Virginia

Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown will give visitors a look at the Christmas traditions of the 17th and 18th centuries during Christmastide in Virginia. From Dec. 20–31, learn about these traditions through interpretive programs and demonstrations. There will be live entertainment at both museums and an appearance by the Lord of Misrule at Jamestown Settlement.
